Don't be afraid to fill your whole space or to mix different prints. Just use similar frames to bring unity—as with this
grouping from West Elm. They'll create a look that is wonderfully eclectic, like you've gathered a collection over many years. This kind of "random" hanging style works particularly well in hallways or on large walls.
Hanging tips:
- For large empty walls, a group of several pieces can be more eye-catching than one large piece.
- Groupings work best when there is a common link that ties all of the artwork together. The link can be a similar style of frame, the same color mat, or imagery of a similar style or subject.
- Group artwork close together to fully decorate a wall and create a cohesive visual statement.
- Find new ways to decorate your walls by grouping artwork in unconventional wall spaces, such as underneath a staircase, around a doorway, or in a narrow space.
