Dr. Messonnier says: Natural remedies include neem, citronella, diatomaceous earth, beneficial nematodes, pyrethrum and others. As I mention in The Natural Health Bible for Dogs & Cats, these natural remedies are effective but may not work as quickly as the chemicals offered by veterinarians.
The most important thing is to treat the inside and outside environments; wherever the pet spends a lot of time. Most fleas are in the pet's environment and not on the pet.
