There are hundreds of different types of purebred dogs. The American Kennel Club classifies these breeds into eight categories, based on special traits and characteristics: Working Group, Terrier Group, Non-Sporting Group, Herding Group, Sporting Group, Hound Group, Toy Group and Miscellaneous Class. We're talking about five of them here!

I have met so many other dog owners on Popular Dog Breeds and what I love most is reading all the wonderful dog stories and the human interest aspect of this board. It also helps that just about all dog breeds are included on this board. We love talking about our dogs and how we can support each other!

I love coming to Popular Dog Breeds board to either find answers to questions about my dog or to just share stories. I have fun comparing traits of my herding dogs to the other posters' herding dogs. I learn something new every time I visit the board. Great fun and great people in this community!
