Can I catch roundworm from my infected kitten?
Dr. Messonnier says: Good question. Roundworms and hookworms can be transmitted from pets to people, but require the person to ingest the worm eggs by eating contaminated feces. This is more of a problem with kids than adults.
Just be sure you wash your hands after playing with your cat, and change the litter daily.
