Wearing gloves and goggles, use a hammer and putty knife or chisel to remove the glazing compound. Pull out the glazier’s points--thin metal wedges that hold the glass in the frame--with pliers; remove the glass. It may be easier to remove the sash first. Tape over cracked glass to prevent it from falling apart during removal.![]()
