Single crochet around the hanger wire. Place the fan twist of one candy between the yarn and the hanger wire as you wrap the yarn to the front and another candy while closing the stitch.
Note: To single crochet:
- For first row, insert hook into 2nd chain from hook and draw up a loop.
- Yarn over and pull through both loops on hook.
- Candy is added when each loop is created

Continue adding candies around the hanger. Adjust the candies as you stitch to make the wreath look uniform.

Tie the end of the yarn to the shank of the hanger after adding the last candies.

Attach the bow to the hanger shank, if desired.

- Keep very firm tension on the yarn and pull each stitch tight, to secure the candies.
- For smaller or individual-sized wreaths, use thin napkin rings, bangle bracelets or wire bent into a circle.
- Attach the safety scissors with a 1' or 2' length of yarn or ribbon so guests can remove and eat the candies, if desired.
- Make interesting wreaths from various types of candy. Try these suggestions: salt water taffy, sour balls, starlight mints, strawberry hard candies, bubble gum, wrapped gummy bears.
