

Recycle tin cans, olive jars and baby-food jars as spectacular spring flower vases. Tie them with ribbon and fill them with flowers and bulbs, to give as gifts or adorn doorknobs, bedposts and armoires.
Supplies:
- Cans, jars or glass bottles from your recycling pile
- 1/2- to 3/4-inch ribbon in colorful spring shades (2 yards total)
- Cut flowers and flowering bulb plants
- Awl
- Small block of wood
Directions:
For tin can, use awl to punch hole in each side of can. Tie each side with length of ribbon and tie at the top. Fill with water and place cut flowers inside. For jar or bottle, tie ribbon around the top. Fill with water and cut blossoms or whole flowering bulb.
Change water every other day.
