Specially designed flower presses are available at crafts shops, but if you aren’t doing a lot of pressing, there’s no need to buy one; this simple method will work just as well.

Lay 3 to 4 sheets of newspaper on a flat work surface (for very succulent flowers, use several more sheets). Top with a sheet of blotting paper.
